I present the best top 20 bands (groups, duets) that have marked their place in the history of the Scandinavian and world trance music scene. Only projects that published at least two songs in their work were taken into account. My taste in music was decisive for the order on the list. For this reason, some groups may take a further place even though they have released more songs. The list is not rich in well-known names as in the case of countries that are pioneering trance music. Spain has always had a deeply entrenched electronic music in its culture and we can see that in the amount of talent this amazing country has been contributing to the trance and techno scene since its inception. We live in the corporate clubbing scene, but in the last few years we have witnessed the growth of a Spanish network of DJs and producers working to refresh our perception of the club, using sounds from all over the world and pushing the scene forward. While it's always hard to draw a list like this, I have my pick of the top 10 trance music producers and DJs from this country. Trance has never been this big in America, but that's mainly because the scene wasn't really made here. Sure, there are some hot spots for trance in America, but there is no grassroots organization that promotes many genres in the local market where they come from. What settled here was mainly driven by touring artists and some who came on stage largely or entirely via the internet. Another factor to consider is the reservation of certain genres in dance music in this region. In Boston, for example, there is a disproportionate amount of bass and big room house reserved for trance acts. I understand why trance is pushed aside given active market factors. Artists have to make trance as great as it used to be. It will probably never happen again because trance has changed a lot and people will always miss what was great. They will always compare the new releases with the old ones, looking for at least some similar melodies in the new ones to the production from a dozen or so years...
