Jurgen Leyers and Laurent Veronnez were at the Bonzai Truck during the Love Parade in Berlin in 1997. During the long bus journey from Antwerp to Berlin, they started talking about music. Jurgen was already part of a project called Energy Source at that time.  Laurent, on the other hand, started some successful projects that Jurgen liked very much. So one led to the other and a few months later they were already in the studio producing "Lost Emotions". There was no end to it. I want to draw your attention to the song "My Galaxy", which was released on the XTC label in 1999. This fa...

As it later turned out, the acquaintance led to successful cooperation.  A year later, under the project Selu Vibra, they produced their debut song entitled "Stargazing". He was so successful that a few months later its sequel was released. "Divine" is on vinyl on Somatic Sense Recordings. It is a classic example of melodic trance, the ancestor of the uplifting trance style that we still dance with nostalgic and absolutely dreamy tones, which soon became one of the most important trance tracks of this year. It hit the hearts of the most die-hard trance fans! The piece has all the classi...

Previously known for his numerous remixes and tracks featured on major club compilations, he first broke into the mainstream in 1991, playing at the famous "Hacienda" club in Manchester. After that, no good Ibiza party could take place without him. Who's behind it? Of course, it's Alexander Paul Coe, aka Sasha. "Magnetic North" by Sasha is a legendary track by this Welsh producer, released on July 29, 2002, on Kinetic Records. Charlie May collaborated with him on this track. It's track #3 from the album Airdrawndagger. It has a tempo of 130BPM, which makes th...

William Orbit 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 - Barber's Adagio For Strings (1999)[WEA Records] https://www.discogs.com/release/67443-William-%C3%98rbit-Barbers-Adagio-For-Strings https://www.discogs.com/release/437383-Ti%C3%ABsto-Adagio-For-Strings Official Video 📹 Original Mix 🎧 Ferry Corsten Remix 🎧 Tiesto - Adagio for Strings (2005) 🎧 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊 BARBER'S ADAGIO FOR STRINGS by WILLIAM ORBIT was one of the first modern classical tracks I heard in 1999.  That year was full of many great trance tracks. He based his production on the original version of Samuel Barber's Adagio For Strings from 1936.  It's undoubtedly one of the all-time great electronic music tracks. Interestingly, Barber's Adagio was used in the film "Platoon." Translating the magic of this track into an electronic context while maintaining respect for the original was quite a challenge. Orbit was mindful of the dangers of reinterpreting it. What worked brilliantly for him was br...

Cosmicman 🇫🇮 – I Love You (2001)[EMT Design] https://www.discogs.com/es/Cosmicman-I-Love-You/release/21953 📹 📹 📹 Original 🎧 Shane 54 Remix 🎧 Alpha State Remix 🎧 Original Mix 🎧 Nitrous Oxide & Hodel Rework 🎧 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊 I'm not sure how many of you know who Matti Laamanen is, a Finnish trance producer who has released tracks under projects such as Cosmicman, Eye Wall, Lovedance, Sundawner, Weathervane, and Wednesday Rolls. Of course, he's also released his own productions. It wasn't much, but it's worth checking out. "I LOVE YOU," a Finnish producer under the alias Cosmicman, was released on the EMT Design label in 2001.  I first came across this track in 2006, when a music video for it was posted on YouTube. It's a melodic trance classic that most people don't remember or haven't heard. The unforgettable melody and energy of this track have stayed with me for many years. Trance music has always been close to Laamanen...

Robert Gitelman 🇮🇱 – Children Of The Sun (2004)[ID&T] https://www.discogs.com/release/324289-Robert-Gitelman-Children-Of-The-Sun Children Of The Sun 🎧 As You Wish 🎧 Robert Gitelman produced his songs together with his colleague Jaron Martinez, who is better known for his project Jaron Inc. They both also led the highly acclaimed G&M Project and 2 Players. In 2004, they released a great vinyl "Children Of The Sun", which was released on the legendary ID&T label.  On the A side is the title track. A thin punch, subtle shakers, and a repetitive stabbing sound are the only things you'll hear when you put a needle on vinyl in the first minute. Gradually, more drums appear, and after a while one of them, a synthesizer typical of these producers, enters the rest of the elements. The synthesizer itself gives the track a lot of impetus, which it needed after quite repetitive expansion. By sounding fuller and more energetic, we move on to the first real break in the...
