Kaimo K (Ten Questions with...) Exclusive Interview & Guest Mix

  Kaimo Kerge known as Kaimo K is an Estonian producer who has been associated with the trance scene for several years. He released his tracks on such labels as Amsterdam Trance Records, Uplift Recordings, Molekular Sounds, Mental Asylum, Silent Shore and others. He has collaborated with many artists. Kaimo shared a few points about his work. I invite you to an interview conducted only for Visions Of Trance. 1. What is trance music to you? Trance music for me is a feeling/euphoria. It really is a state (of trance) if you will. A moment where you can get lost and carried away and forget everything else. Was that too cheesy answer haha? 2. How do you perceive the state of the current trance music scene? I think the current scene is in a pretty good state at the moment. There’s plenty of newcomers who aren’t afraid to experiment and borrow sounds from other genres aswell. They both also led the highly acclaimed G&M Project and 2 Players. In 2004, they released a great vinyl "Children Of The Sun", which was released on the legendary ID&T label.  On the A side is the title track. A thin punch, subtle shakers, and a repetitive stabbing sound are the only things you'll hear when you put a needle on vinyl in the first minute. Gradually, more drums appear, and after a while one of them, a synthesizer typical of these producers, enters the rest of the elements. Hungary has a list of some really talented trance artists whose music is worth paying special attention to. Most of them have made a solid name for themselves over the years. I present my ranking of the Top 5 Hungarian trance music projects. Ranking of favorites who do not necessarily have to be seen as the best. I am familiar with their music and I use it first. The place on the list was determined by the taste in music, releases on labels and the number of songs. Released albums and compilations also had a big impact. There is one duo on the list.
