Philippe van Mullem is undoubtedly one of the legends of the best label in the history of trance music - Bonzai Records/ Bonzai Music. Responsible for many classics signed with his own name or under several projects of which the alias Quadran should be distinguished, in which he collaborated with Philippe Toutlemonde aka PhiPhi. Philippe's music was featured on many trance compilations. In 2015, he returns with the fantastic "Animals Rebellion", which was released on Bonzai Progressive. The track starts with an energetic introduction filled with undulating bass lines and an energetic kick. The bass line locks you in on the beat as different sounds start to punch through it. This creates a cool image. Sounds express a feeling of euphoria. Quite nostalgic-sounding track from the master of the original trance sound. I look with curiosity at the "Balance Mix" with a solid bass that raises the energy level from the very beginning. Heavy emphasis on melodies with soft pads that enrich the sound, along with a catchy sequence of notes. The synthesizers are great and the trance thrusts with a contagious charm create a great effect. A great production that was released a few days before the death of this great artist.
