As You Wish ๐ŸŽง

Robert Gitelman produced his songs together with his colleague Jaron Martinez, who is better known for his project Jaron Inc. They both also led the highly acclaimed G&M Project and 2 Players. In 2004, they released a great vinyl "Children Of The Sun", which was released on the legendary ID&T label.

On the A side is the title track. A thin punch, subtle shakers, and a repetitive stabbing sound are the only things you'll hear when you put a needle on vinyl in the first minute. Gradually, more drums appear, and after a while one of them, a synthesizer typical of these producers, enters the rest of the elements. The synthesizer itself gives the track a lot of impetus, which it needed after quite repetitive expansion. By sounding fuller and more energetic, we move on to the first real break in the song. A small bassline swirls, supported by what sounds like some kind of technical synthesizer with a repeating set of chords. An Asian sound comes out playing a simple but very catchy tune. Suddenly the drums and bass lines come back, creating a tiny climax just before the real thing starts. The structure of the whole song is quite original compared to today's standard trance. Though the melody is rather simple and may not sound too strong at home. I'm sure it will work on the dance floor, mainly due to the unexpected mini-climax of the Asian melody and the whole structure of the song. Great track !!!

On the B side is "As You Wish". This site starts out in a way that reminds me a lot of "Nothing To Lose" by Jaron Inc. Strongly muted kick causes subtle, filtered drums to come to the floor, just before the full drum and bass line hits the speakers. The line itself is very much like G&M Project again, with some subtle chord changes along the way. A set of melodies appears, one of which sounds a bit like a humming synthesizer. Soon we come to a break that first consists of one of the synthesizers we heard before. A very cool, thin sound comes in which gives the piece that kind of special feel during this part. The main melody is not too complicated. It definitely works thanks to the use of a more energetic sound during the climax. I must admit that these are two very decent pieces of Israeli geniuses. It is really worth reaching for such a vinyl to have it in your collection.
