Trance music from Tomasz Krakowiak, aka Thomas Datt, has been playing in my home speakers for many years. When I discovered his work, I didn't know he was from Poland. When I learned he was from Poland, my pride was even greater. It's a joy to know that a Polish producer can also create an incredible all-time classic. Such was the case with the track "2V2," released in 2004 on Discover Records. It received significant acclaim and was supported by remixes from John Askew and Robert Nickson. After a long break from trance music, Thomas returned to the heart of the matter. He returned to something that should have happened years earlier. However, years of failures and life problems meant that everything was put on hold until now...
After 22 years, "2V2" will see a completely different light. This is not a remix. This is not a remake. It is a completely different story with the same title. When I received the track to listen to, I was incredibly excited about what it could bring. I have always remembered the Polish producer's capabilities in trance music production. As I write this article, I am aware that the journey I embarked on with the new "2V2" may be extended in its length. This track reflects the wealth of experience acquired over many years. His creative craft has definitely reached a higher level. Thomas kept his fans waiting for a very long time, but I assure you all, it is truly worth it. Heavenly pads and a captivating, magical melody that takes me on a cosmic flight of soundscapes. There's no time for boredom here. Listening to this track, I feel like this journey will never end. Around the four-minute mark, a breakdown kicks in, and then the track continues on a trance-like journey of beautiful melodies. This is how contemporary trance should look and sound. If the music delivers powerful emotions and gives you goosebumps, it's a sign that it has all the best in it. And that's exactly the case here. The track brings me joy, smiles, and the belief that trance will never leave me. It's the most emotional genre of electronic music. Thanks to productions like this, I have no doubt about that. It deserves a vinyl release, and I hope it happens in the near future. Thanks, Thomas, for delivering this incredible music.
