A special album called "Parade of the Athletes" was created for the 2004 Athens Olympics. Tiësto was the first DJ to perform at the opening ceremony of the Olympics, a historic event for club music. One of the songs he played at the event is "Euphoria." The track was released on vinyl (fourth position) and CD (fifth position) by Magik Muzik. 



Euphoria is the feeling that accompanies winning a game or competition. It's a natural state, followed by some kind of success. It can also be a state of intense, unnatural happiness, enthusiasm, and excitement when taking certain medications or alcohol. Prolonged euphoria can be a symptom of mental or neurological disorders.


Fortunately, in this production, we're dealing with the former. The incredible strings used in the track are warm and uplifting trance-like. They remind me of that unique and euphoric feeling. This state was meant to motivate me to achieve the best possible result in these major sporting events. It's definitely one of the highlights of the entire album. I keep coming back to it. It's pure trance at its best. At times with elements of melancholy, but delivering rich soundscapes. A must-have for true fans of the genre.
