Richard Cube is a German trance project created by Andreas Tomalla, aka Talla 2XLC, and Vernon Baur. The latter is a mysterious figure in the electronic music scene. You won't find any pictures of him online. He was Andreas's production partner until around 2001. 

He also collaborated with other producers, but one of his most memorable tracks is "Trance Nature" with Talla 2XLC as Richard Cube. The track was released on vinyl in 1996 on the ZYX Music label. Several color versions were created. "Blue Marbled" is in my collection. It features three versions: Floormix, Technoclub Mix, and House Mix. 



"Floormix" remains the best version of this release to this day. Its melody captivates with its quality from start to finish, bringing back many memories from years gone by. It's the quintessence of trance in the best sense of the word. The song's incredible breakdown, followed by a transition into the basic melody, is addictive like a drug. An absolute all-time classic. On the other side, we get the other two versions. "Technoclub Mix," by its very name, is meant to lure you into the club to experience the dancefloor atmosphere. It's a completely different take on this track. Mostly devoid of the main melody, which perfectly dominates the listener's ear, you'll savor the powerful bass, which is meant to transport you to another world. 



This remix takes club members on a journey of immersive soundscapes, where the dancing never ends. A solid dose of trance, especially for those who enjoy clubbing or attending a large event. A truly great remix. "House Mix," by its very name, is also intended to appeal to a specific audience. Aimed at house. For me, it's the weakest version of this track, but it certainly has its audience. A great vinyl record, aimed at a diverse audience, with a strong focus on satisfying the listener in every respect. Worth having in your collection.
