I invite you to the interview conducted exclusively for Visions Of Trance.

1. What is Trance music to you?

It’s a style of music that I find extremely addictive! Haha!

2. How do you perceive the state of the current Hard Trance music scene?

Thriving. Look how much faster and harder the main trance DJs are now playing. Labels such as Hard Trance Europe, Hyper Reality and Hard Trance Revolution Records are now filling the Beatport trance charts. 5 to 10 years ago, hard trance was very much right at the back of the queue! And now you have big labels such as Armada now taking some much tougher tracks too. So, it’s great to see!

3. What are your goals in producing Hard Trance music?

Just to make more and more of it. Whatever inspires me. Sometime that does take a while though!

4. Who was your inspiration to start producing Hard Trance music?

Scot Project mainly. But other producers such as Indecent Noise, Nomad, Andrea Montorsi, David Forbes and Mark Sherry have also been an influence on my sound.

5. Which song are you most proud of and why?

That would have to be my remix of Dark Alliance – Genetic. It got right to the top of the Beatport chart. And was the first official remix of the track. On top of that it was also a first number 1 for Fred Baker and a first number 1 for Hard Trance Europe as a label. It has an energy that really does sum up my sound.

6. Will your future releases be collaborations with other artists? Are you more into solo productions?

There’s a collaboration with Lange, which is nearing completion and release. I also have something big coming out on Blackhole Recordings later this year. And there are some new singles coming out on Hard Trance Europe and Hard Trance Revolution Records. So aside from Lange, it’s mainly solo stuff at the moment.

7. What inspires you to create Hard Trance music?

The joy, really! It’s hard to say what else does inspire me. But I do listen to other styles of music too, and sometime a track can inspire me to make a hard trance version of it. Depends on a few things. But I’m always on the lookout for ideas!

8. What hardware and software do you use to create Hard Trance music?

I have a MacMini desktop and MacBook, which both run Ableton 12. Sylenth and Spire for my synths. Pro Filter Q3 and Vahalla software is constantly used. And I’ve found Loopcloud very handy lately, especially for percussion and one shot hits.

9. How do you perceive the influence of social media on the career development of a Hard Trance artist?

It’s a double-edged sword really. Social media can help you reach more fans much easily. However the downside is, it takes you away from making music, applies additional pressure, and with an increasingly larger amount of artists, it’s getting harder to make yourself stand out in the crowd.

10. Finally, what would you like to say to your fans?

Thank you so much for all your support. I will continue to make your support to me, totally worth it!!
