FORBIDDEN FRUIT is certainly one of the best hits from Paul van Dyk. It was released in 1997 on the MFS label. The song is a fantastic example of the golden era of progressive trance from the mid-nineties. The magic of this great classic is amazing. The original version is a very nice trance gem from the Cosmic Baby school. 

It's the beauty of interwoven melodies. The "Fruit Of Love" version retains most of the melody and uplifting mood of the original. It provides a much more sophisticated synthesizer performance with the participation of percussion elements. The "Forbidden Future" mix takes the listener to the darker and more futuristic side thanks to the pumping sound of the synthesizer. Cooperation with BT when creating "Food Of Love" is a great art. The effect of a strong breakbeat introduction to the branded classic piano chords BT broken by raising the hair sour riffs. It is worth mentioning the essence of the video music video, which is quite important here. The film is extremely moving. It is meditation on memories and the pursuit of lost time. It presents a generation of children and adolescents, as well as the older ones who grew up in front of the internet and smartphone. 


A completely different world compared to present times when people are only staring in applications on phones, browsing websites losing your precious time on this type of activity. Once more life mattered. The film is an element of showing a large amount of symbolism. A snake referring to intimacy, or a key representing trust and innocence. At the climax in the movie, the boy gives the key to the girl with his mouth. Or is it just the key to his heart? This piece always helps me get up, no matter how bad and depressing the situation is. It always reminds me that there must be a path to happiness. To sum up, it can be said that the song in question is one of the greatest classics Matthias Paul produced in all his rich work.
