A born musician, Andy Moor could play his first piano piece flawlessly at the age of 5, and by the age of 10 he had mastered six more instruments. He signed his first record label at the age of 19, and by 25 he was the owner of his own label, AVA Recordings.
His blend of hard work, determination and raw, unbridled talent has made him one of dance music's most determined and influential artists, and his perseverance and evolution have kept him at the forefront. This artist is a producer of "delicate" trance. "Halcyon" is a beautiful, progressive trance track from 2005 on the Armind label.
The original version uses many elements that, when combined, create the manufacturer's characteristic sound. The deep bass line is delicately balanced with Moore's keen ear for melody, which manifests itself in the form of shimmering keys and airy vocal effects. However, Alex's M.O.R.P.H. remix is completely different. Still built around the aforementioned vocal effects and breezy atmosphere. It transforms what can commonly be described as laid back progressive trance production.
It has an amazing amount of power and energy. He achieves this by comprehensively reworking the bass line. It transforms it from an extended groove into a much shorter and frenetic rhythm. Combined with futuristic synthesizers, it leaves the listener almost breathless in terms of contrast with the original version. With Alex's accent, the song took on all the characteristics to be one of those productions to remember for a long time! It's worth having such a vinyl edition in your collection.
