Vision X (Ten Questions with...) Exclusive interview


Mohammad Shahraen better known as Vision X is a Malaysian Trance producer who has released his tracks on record labels such as Vandit Records, Outburst Records, Nocturnal Knights Music, High Voltage Recordings, Damaged Records, HTE, Kinected Recordings, Interplay Records, Projekted and others. He has collaborated with Paul van Dyk and other Trance artists. In July 2020, he founded the digital label Neutralize Records together with Haikal Ahmad. Mohammad shared a few things about his thoughts on Trance music. I invite you to an interview conducted exclusively for Visions Of Trance.

1. What is trance music to you?

- To me, trance music is an immersive experience that transcends the ordinary.  It’s about  finding a sense of unity with others.





2. How do you perceive the state of the current trance music scene?
- It is evolving as always, the trance market in Asia is a bit slow at the moment.


3. What are your goals in producing trance music?
-To be recognize as one of the best trance music producers in Asia. 





4. Who was your inspiration to start producing trance music?
-Tiesto, Jordan Suckley and Mark Sherry.


5. Which song are you most proud of and why?
-Impact. It was a collaboration with Paul van Dyk,I have never thought of doing a collaboration with the legend himself. 



6. Will your future releases be collaborations with other artists? Are you more into solo productions?
-Yes, I have a few collaborations happening at the moment. I am open for collaborations with everyone. 





7. What inspires you to create trance music?
-I love the melodies, the atmosphere of trance music, the journey is just remarkable. 



8. What hardware and software do you use to create trance music?
-FL Studio and Ableton Live 11.





9. How do you perceive the influence of social media on the career development of a trance artist?
-Social Media  helps build a loyal fan base and creates opportunities for collaboration and networking within the industry.  Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube allow for innovative promotional strategies, such as live streams, behind-the-scenes content, and viral challenges that can help songs gain traction.



10. Finally, what would you like to say to your fans?
-I  would like to take this opportunity to thank all my fans for supporting me throughout the years, i promise to keep on pushing trance music in my region. Without all of you, I won't be where I am today. Love, Vision X.
