Zeitgeist was the exclusive Label of Polydor Zeitgeist, a department of Polydor. It later became part of Universal Music Domestic Division (Universal Music GmbH).

Zeitgeist is a German expression meaning "spirit of the times" or "spirit of the age". This expression refers to the intellectual and cultural climate of the era. In German, this word has more meaning than the translation would suggest.

Famous artists such as Schiller, YORK, Mauro Picotto, Paul Van Dyk, Resistance D, 4 Strings, Vincent De Moor, Pulsedriver, DJ Quicksilver, Trance Allstars and many others released their songs on this label.
